Snow-heaped in the Alaska town of Valdez, the city is looking to hire a lot more people $20.35 per hour and you must be 18 and able to do strenuous work They also mus be fully equipped with winter gear.

Valdez has all ready had 322 inches of snow and that is at sea level. and only haft way through the winter. They are already `168 inches above normal City spokeswoman Holly Powers says they have 170 workers and need at least another 50 more workers .

Here in Ketchikan  the sun has come out in a clear blue sky and it has stopped snowing. The temperature is zero out this morning. Most fishermen do not go out when the bays are freezing over. As ice cut's lines and your boats hull if made from wood.

Manager from Back Island Submarine acoustic testing station was in this morning and said that ice conditions are making for getting to an from the island were kind of nail biting with a frozen face trip this morning.
