Just a little something i came up with. I don't know...
Bering Sea Blood
The wind is fierce
And the ocean’s cold
There’s a storm approaching
That’s what I’m told
The radio crackles
Not good news
We’re still out here though
Taking the abuse
I’ve got my brother’s behind me
And my God upfront
I need them both when I’m out here
In the oceanfront
Cause it’s 36 hours on the grind
Three strings to go
I lost all feeling in my hands
Several hours ago
Yet these wounds that I have
I wear with pride
My brothers have them too
They walk alongside
And the sea may be iced
The waves a wall of bricks
I will continue to work
And survive the oceans antics
Cause I have a family at home
That is waiting for me
I hope to see them soon
After the sea is beastly
Yet I know the next season
I’ll be rearing to go
The Bering Sea is calling
There is no chance to say no
In spite of the danger
There is no place like my ship
With my brothers around me
And our twisted friendship
With the battering sea
And the rolling ground
This is no safety net
But the Devils’ playground
Yet I got Bering Sea blood
Running through my veins
And the urge to fish
Never wanes
Until I catch my quota
Of crab gold
I live out at sea
With sights to behold
