Actually about two blocks from McCoy Stadium, haha! We go to Coventry quite frequently (your Walmart is nicer than the ones up here!). Anyways, welcome to the group! Hope you enjoy your time here, and who knows? Maybe we can road trip out to CC next year together? :)

Thanks Crystal. I'm in Coventry. I see on your profile you're in Pawtucket? I was just there Sunday for the PawSox game (I love them). I'm glad the rain here is slowing down a bit.

Hi Liz! Welcome to the group! Where in RI do you live (I am a Rhode Islander as well)? Glad to have you aboard! :)

Hey East Coasters, happy to be a part of this group. I live in Rhode Island and love DC.  I've been very bad about being active in the fan community and have made a pledge that now I will change this. I want to meet my fellow fans. I am hoping to go to CatchCon next year, too.

We got much needed rain from Lee. We've been in a drought and got 5 inches of rain in a day! We could use about 5 more inches!!! LOL!

Glad to be hearing from our east coast fans. Hoped you didn't get blown or washed away. I'm from the midwest so all is well here. Got though the tornado weather. It all missed us by a few miles. Looks like hurricane Lee in the south has lessened some. Hope yall don't get hit by the one brewing in the atlantic. God bless all of you.

Linda, glad you didn't lose your trees! We really don't have too many to lose here, but we did get a headlight busted with a wayward branch (no biggie, I'll consider myself lucky with that one!)

Nice to have power and cable back? You betcha! With the exception of having my electricity out from 6:35 a.m. Sunday to 4:00 p.m. Friday, which was a major inconvenience, I didn't fare too badly with Irene. Unlike with Gloria, I didn't lose any of my evergreen trees.

Ok then! Hello everyone! Nice to have power & cable back after Irene pretty much rained on my parade last week. Hope you are all well and haven't been too badly affected. I was in PA the week before last, so wasn't around to comment here much, but here's my recap:

We got to Trevose, PA on Sunday, the 21st to a MONSOON like I have never seen before.

We were in Easton, PA, at the Crayola Factory during the Earthquake, and while we didn't feel the actual earthquake, we were out in the parking garage during an aftershock (which we did feel), watching the fire department evacuate Easton's town hall so they could check for structural damage.

And, of course, we had to race home a day early (left Friday afternoon), to drive home up the coast and brace for Irene. The cable went out Sunday morning (came back yesterday in the AM sometime before we woke up), and the power went out Sunday afternoon, and wasn't restored until late Wednesday.

We lost a bunch of food and really, that was it. We were VERY lucky compared to the destruction in places like Vermont, which is now mostly mud. We were pissed to be without power, but when I think about how bad it really could have been for us, I feel very blessed.

Though I am a little bitter about being taken away from Gettysburg early! There was so much more ghost hunting I would have gotten done.

Anyways, how did you all fare?
