Just wondering so I can be prepared. Any other info about it would be appreciated! Thanks!

Discovery releases information usually around March - since CatchCon is usually the second week of April. Tickets are first come first get - you have to register to get them. There is a waiting list too, they offer up 500 tickets but last year let in around 1000.  If you go plan on very long lines and getting to meet only one Captain (sessions have looonnnggg lines and you only usually get into one). They do have a live feed on the website too along with a chat. Last year I wasn't able to go but watched and chatted online here with everyone! We had a blast, and no long lines!

One caveat - the opie season is much longer this year that before due to the increase in quota allowed. This might push back the convention on Disco's schedule. Just keep your eye on the discovery site and join in the group there called Deadliest Crew - they send out info just before the sale takes place.

Good Luck!

CatchCon 2010

hope that you get chosen i was lucky last year to get chosen looking foward this year!

Thanks Mary Beth!!! Hope I'm lucky enough to be able to go!

Went last year and it was a blast! I got to meet the one's that I wanted with little problem and most of the crew make themselves very accessible. I think the only deckhands that really shyed away from people were Freddie and Jake H. I was super impressed with Matt Bradley! I didn't find the lines to be a problem, mostly because you chat with those around you (and we had some good laughs at the expense of the Ramblin' Rose while waiting because there were only ever about 3 people in their "line" and Elliot was being ignorant to people).
