Permalink Reply by Dorinda A. Davis on November 15, 2011 at 7:56pm WEll I am new to this sight, but have been watching Catch for 4 years now. A co-worker got me hooked on it. I own all 7 seasons of Catch & have watched each season way too many times, according to my kids. I'm from east coast Canada.
The Time Bandit & the Hillstrands are my main guys, but I have a special place in my heart for Cornelia Marie, as Phil was a favorite as well. I'm pulling for the boys to make the Cornelia successful under their watch , just as Phil did.

Permalink Reply by Georgia Makitalo on March 7, 2012 at 1:28am HI everyone! My name is Georgia. I live in Luleå Sweden-WAAAY North-it compares to Nome, AK. I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota-and married a Swede from this area and we are living up here. Like Sig, he has several daughters and everything around him was girly-so I have made a point of enjoying some of his "guy" shows-and in the past few months, I TOTALLY fell in love with the Dangerous Catch.
They have been showing Season 6 the past 3 weeks. Although I knew Captain Phil was going to die--this was national news- the events of the last days of his life have just hit me in the gut. Phil was such an incredible man. Just how he was with Jake Anderson and how he let this young kid test himself. This says it all!
I love the personalities. The insights. The coming of age stories.
In my family tree, WAAAAAY back, the men in my dad's dad's side of the family were seafaring men. (actually mercenaries) and from what I heard about them--I think of the crazy Hillstrom brothers.
Thanks for including me in your group!! I am excited that this week, they are going to show season 3 on Discovery here-so I am excited to get some back story!!

I'm Bex, from northwest England. I'm 28, and have worked in care all my life. Currently work in a house that is super demanding (we all get hurt every day as we have to use physical intervention all the time) as a senior, which means all the hard work plus the paperwork! I'm a hard worker, totally insane and a rock chick through and through.
I love DC for a lot of reasons. Initially I was into it purely because it was about life on the water (I wanted to join the navy, but apparently fibromyalgia and anaemia mean I'm not good enough), but I got really into the whole thing after a while. The risks, the rewards and the stories behind each person. I can also see a lot of some of my own friends in the younger deckhands, which makes me want to mother them as much as I mother our crowd over here. (Should probably point out that if that means kicking someone, I will do it. Some of them have the scars to prove it)
Permalink Reply by alicia dawn burnette on March 27, 2012 at 12:57am my name is alicia and i started watching DC in the middle of season 1 been there every since the when Capt.Phil. passed on to sail safer blue waters it really got to me and then jake and josh seeing them go through it. it made me want to watch more so i do now i'm waiting on April 10th and i can't wait b/c you see i don't what ships the boys are on it's like uggg . and then what about Cornelia Marie ? will she be back out ?
my #1 ship is and always will be the CM
my 2nd would be the TB because they the pirate boat and have some fun
my 3rd boat is NW they have their share of pain esp. Jake Anderson but each one of these ships bonded as families it was just amazing to see how close all of them really were to our late Capt. Phil i will always remember bc his birthday if i'm not mistaken is on me & my husbands anniversary Dec.19
